Dear Comrades,
MORE THAN 20,000 BELLIGERENT CENTRAL
GOVT EMPLOYEES MARCHED IN THE CONFEDERATION RALLY AND THRONGED TO THE STREET
JANTAR MANTAR OF NEW DELHI
ON 26TH JULY, 2012 WITH THE CLARION CALL OF “DO JUSTICE IN OUR
FAVOUR”.
At the call of the Confederation of CG
Employees and workers, more than 20,000 employees & workers of various
central govt organizations marched before Parliament on 26th july,
2012.
Thousands and thousands of employees in
the form of belligerent soldiers undulated the JANTAR MANTAR ROAD from one end
to the other with various slogans renting the air demanding (a) Immediate
formation of the 7th CPC and its effect from 01-01-2011 (b) Merger
of 50% DA with Basic pay for all purposes as was done earlier from 01-01-2004
(c) Revision of Wages of three lakhs of GDS through the 7th CPC (d)
Regularization of both the GDS and Casual Labourers through appropriate schemes
(e) Ending the discrimination in granting of compassionate appointments between
Railways and other Central Govt Departments. (f) Scrapping PFRDA Bill (g) Grant
of five promotions in the carrier of an employee etc.
Thus the call of Confederation of CG
employees created an overwhelming response through the crowds massed from all
segments of Central Govt Departments.
Veteran Parliamentary Members Comrade
Basudev Acharya, Comrade Tapan Sen and AITUC leader Comrade Amarjit Kaur
addressed the rally. The rally was presided over by the president com S.K.Vyas
veteran leader in the Central Govt sectors for
many decades. Com K.Ragavendran, working president of Confederation, Com
M.Krishnan, Secretary General of NFPE and several other leaders addressed the
rally.
Comrade K.K.N.Kutty, Secretary General
of Confederation and veteran leader of Central Govt Employees for many decades,
declared that if within three (3) months the demands are not accepted by the
Central Govt and 7th CPC not constituted, the entire Central Govt
Employees under the banner of Confederation, will launch an all India Strike on
12th December, 2012.
Programme like holding of State level
Conventions and District level Conventions as well as holding of Mass Dharnas
and Mass Rallies to the State Capitals and submission of memorandum to the
State Governors/Chief Ministers etc were also pointed out by the Secretary
General Com K.K.N.Kutty in his speech.
A memorandum to the Honourable Prime
Minister of India with explanatory notes on all the items of 15 point of
Charter has been submitted to the Prime Minister.
ROLE OF NFPE ORGANISATIONS IN
CONFEDERATION CALL
NFPE organisations from several circles
including from the circles like Kerala, Tamilnadu, Andhra, Assam and NE, West
Bengal, Maharastra, Delhi, UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal
Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujrat, MP etc representing all officials of NFPE
constituted the major contingent of the Confederation rally.
For the first time after many decades,
workers of Postal Administrative offices from most of the Circles joined the
rally and we had to book Buddha mandir in New
Delhi and arrangements were made for 100 people.
NFPE ALL INDIA CONVENTION WAS HELD ON 26TH
JULY, 2012 AT Dr Ambedkar Bhawan in the afternoon of 26th July, 2012.
The All India Convention endorsed the decisions of the Confederation to launch
a strike on 12-12-2012 to win the 15 point charter of demands and called upon
the rank and file of NFPE organisations to take all organisational efforts for
the total success of the Strike action. Com K.V.Sridharan, Ex-GS presided over
the convention. All NFPE officials including Com P.Panduranga Rao GS, GDS,
NFPE, Com Y.Nagabhushanum, working president, casual labour, Com C.P.Shobana,
Chairperson, Confederation Mahila Committee, Com Amaresh Thakur, Ex-GS, Postal
Accounts and others were present in the Convention and spoken in the
Convention.
GDS DHARNA ON 27-07-2012
A massive dharna in which more than a
thousand GDS employees and also from the regular employees organizations under
the banner of the AIPEU GDS (NFPE) was held at Dr Ambedkar Bhawan on 27th
July, 2012.
The demands like 7th CPC for GDS also, grant of 50% DA
with Basic pay to GDS on par with regular employees, Departmentalization of GDS
by evolving an ideal scheme, Ending the discrimination on Bonus ceiling between
the GDS and other employees and many other demands were the major issues
discussed in the convention. Comrade Basudev Acharya, senior parliament member
addressed the dharna and assured all support inside the parliament to the cause
of GDS. Com Acharya advised the leadership to prepare a comprehensive
memorandum on the important GDS problems & submit it to the Honourable
speaker of parliament. He assured that there will be serious follow up action
by him with the speaker.
Com R.N.Parashar, Astt Secretary
General, NFPE anchored the proceedings of the Dharna. Com P.Panduranga Rao, GS,
GDS(NFPE) elaborately spoke on all the demands of the charter meant for GDS.
Com M.Krishnan, Secretary General (NFPE) made a commitment that NFPE will not
rest until the basic problems of GDS are fully sorted out. Com K.Ragavendran,
working president of the Confederation narrated the reasons for failures on
major issues of GDS. Com S.K.Vyas, Com K.P.Rajagopal, SG, ITEF VAN Namboodri,
president BSNLEU, Com K.V.Sridharan, Ex-GS P-3 and GSs of all NFPE affiliates
spoke in details regarding the modus operation of Departmentalization of GDS.
BUILDING THE GDS(NFPE) UNION
STRONGER WAS THE MAIN ESSENCE OF THE CONVENTION.
TAKE
ALL OUT PREPERATION FOR
ONE DAY STRIKE ON 12-12-2012
.....called by the Confederation of Central Govt
Employees and workers. We cannot comprise with the Employees’ and workers’
interests. We must locate weakness and take corrective measures to make the
strike o0f 12th December, 2012 a grand success.
REMIT QUOTA TO THE CHQ WITH ALLOUT EFFORTS. WE ARE
SMALLEST ORGANISATION WITH LOWEST SUBSCRIPTION. NFPE STANDS FOR ITS OWN
IDEOLOGIES AND BASIC VALUES. MERE RUNNING OF THE ORGANISATION AIPAOEU, Gr
C&D (NFPE) IS NOT OUR GOAL. WE MUST HAVE A REVELOUTIONARY SPIRIT TO DEAL
WITH EVERY SITUATION WITH A MISSIONARY ZEAL. WE MUST HAVE TO RISE TO THE
OCCASION.
FINANCIAL POSITION OF THE NFPE IS BAD & IT IS
THE BEACON LIGHT FOR ANY MOVEMENT, WE MUST HAVE TO BE PUNCTUAL FOR REMITTING
QUOTA TO THE NFPE. CIRCLES & REGIONS ARE REQUESTED TO SEND QUOTA TO THE CHQ
& NFPE ON PRIORITY BASIS.
NEWS
General Secretary visited Tamilnadu Circle and Karnataka Circle very recently and
received hearty welcome from the members. General Secretary expresses gratitude
to the members and organizational leadership of both of the Circles for their
participations in the meetings enmasse.
